The prices to install home air conditioning units varies dramatically from one A/C company to the next.
In fact, we continue to see the same scenario over and over again. One company sells a particular unit for around $4,500.00, with other companies charging around $6,500.00 and up for the same exact unit. (same warranty period) That's a KA-CHING $2,000.00 price difference!
What we've found, according to our surveys and experience, is that the lower priced companies not only deliver the lower prices, but most of them pay more attention to customer service and quality workmanship.
These lower priced companies are usually very small companies (one to seven employees) that are built on reputation. Eventually, some of these small companies become well known large companies and their prices tend to go up.
Granted, not all small a/c companies fit the bill when it comes to low prices and quality workmanship. But it's very rare to find a large company that offers this.
