The answer to this question is simple; There is not any brand of air conditioner out there that will necessarily last longer, break less, or perform better compared to any other brand for the same amount of money.

All A/C brands break over a given time, however, higher priced units usually means higher quaility or higher efficiency, (the old saying...you get what you pay for comes to mind) but more attention should be given to the quality of the initial installation, and performing air conditioning maintenance for your system on a regular basis.

It is not the brand that matters, it's the poor installation and the lack of maintenance that causes any brand to break pre-maturely. For this reason, we give all brands an equal rating.

When hiring an air conditioning company to install a new air conditoner, it is very important that you choose a reputable a/c contractor that will perform a load calculation to determine the proper size of the air conditioning system to be installed.

If you install a system which is too large, it will cycle on and off too often, reducing the efficiency of the system and reducing humidity removal. Too small a unit will not be able to attain a comfortable temperature resulting in longer running times.

Any unit that is not sized properly and installed correctly results in inefficiencies that make your unit more susceptible to break downs.

After you've had a professional air conditioning contractor install an a/c unit for you, it only makes sense to change your air conditioner filters frequently and have regular preventive maintenance performed on your unit.

This will ensure that your home air conditioning system will have less breakdowns, better performance, lower utility bills, and the security of knowing that your comfort will be less likely to suffer.

I saw Bradley's company in a comparison against most all the other Hvac companies in my area... while others sounded good, I was not impressed with what customers wrote about their service and fairness on pricing.... I think Bradley is extremely honest and you really do get pricing that is half of the other HVAC companies... Nice! Bradley is also the owner which I like. Nothing like dealing directly with the person that owns the business that you are buying from!!

I do IT consulting on my own so I thought that there must be smaller companies with hard working honest guys around that do AC work. Google brought up Bradley's web page, and actually read the testimonials and thought I would give him a shot.Bradley came and diagnosed the problem to be a motor, he spent an hour making sure, and returned after obtaining the part and finishing up the other work he had scheduled that day which ended up being 11:00pm to replace it so my family could get some sleep. NO WAY would a large company have come that late, at least not without extreemly heavy fees.Thanks for the fair price and Excellent service!
